Sherwood Hamill

In 1989, Sherwood Hamill began to put his art and cabinetmaking background to use in furniture design. At a young and impressionable age growing up in Portland, Maine, he had the opportunity to travel with his family to the 1964 New York Worlds Fair and later to Expo '67 in Montreal. Having been exposed and seduced by this "mechanical Eden" of modern architecture and design at an early age, the essence of modernism has remained potent and has become the basis of which the company was founded. Hamill provides unique, craft built modern furniture to the individual and design professional.
